The Ariens Emperor 8 is a riding lawn mower produced from 1972 to 1978 as part of the Emperor 925 Series. It features an 8 hp Briggs & Stratton 318cc 1-cylinder gasoline engine with electric starter and 12 volts starter system. The mower uses a Disc-O-Matic 6-speed friction disc transmission with 6 forward and 1 reverse gear. It has two-wheel drive, manual steering, and an open operator station. The power take-off is a mid PTO independent type with a mechanical idler clutch. Electrical system is negative ground with a 12-volt battery.
