American Tractor Corporation (ATC) was established when the Rojtman family acquired a factory in Churubusco, Indiana, USA. Following an analysis of U.S. and German military tanks and crawlers, ATC commenced manufacturing crawler tractors under the TerraTrac brand. In late 1956, Case merged with ATC, which became the foundation of Case's crawler and industrial product line. By the late 1960s, Case relocated all production to Burlington, Iowa, and subsequently sold the Churubusco factory.
