The Production Association of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) was established on May 29, 1946, in Minsk. It remains the largest tractor manufacturing facility globally. Following the Russian Revolution, the Soviet tractor industry saw significant expansion, initially centered around the Stalingrad factory (STZ). The Minsk factory was developed as part of the post-World War II reconstruction efforts in the devastated city. Today, it produces 38 different tractor models and exports them to more than 100 countries.
