Bolens G16XL 1661

The Bolens G16XL is a garden tractor produced from 1979 to 1981 as part of the Medium Frame XL Series. It features a 16 hp Tecumseh OH160 453cc 1-cylinder gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft, paired with a Peerless 4-speed belt-driven gear transmission. The tractor has a two-wheel drive with manual steering and mechanical band brakes. It includes an open operator station with an optional vinyl soft-side cab. The tractor has a 49-inch wheelbase, weighs 810 lbs, and uses 16x6.50-8 front tires and 23x10.50-12 rear tires. It is equipped with a sleeve hitch and an independent front PTO with an electric clutch and pulley type. Electrical system is 12 volts negative ground with a 45 AH battery. Attachments include 42" and 48" mid-mount mower decks, a front-mount blade, and a front-mount snowblower. The G16XL was available in gear drive and hydrostatic variants.
