During the 1960s, Bush Hog produced garden tractors in Kansas. This U.S. company is known for its rotary mowers and landscaping equipment; in 1962, it acquired the Shaw garden tractor company based in Galesburg, Kansas. Following the acquisition, Bush Hog expanded both the factory and its range of products. However, tractor manufacturing ceased in 1972 as the company redirected its efforts to expand the factory for other implements. Ultimately, the Galesburg facility was closed in 1986.
