J.I. Case 731

The J.I. Case 731 is a row-crop tractor produced from 1960 to 1969 as part of the 730 Series. It features a 4.4L 4-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine with 267 cubic inches displacement, rated at 48.33 hp drawbar and 56.50 hp PTO tested power. The tractor offers two transmission options: an 8-speed torque converter (Case-o-matic) and an 8-speed unsynchronized (Dual-Range) with mechanical dry disc clutch. It has a wheelbase of 83 inches and an operating weight of 7,095 lbs. The 731 includes features such as two-wheel drive, manual steering with power optional, differential disc brakes, and an open operator station. Hydraulics are open center with one valve.
