Challenger 45

The Challenger 45 is an agricultural crawler tractor produced from 1995 to 1998 by Challenger, a part of Caterpillar. It features a Caterpillar 6.6L 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 240 hp (179.0 kW). The tractor has a 16-speed full power shift transmission with an optional 32-speed creeper. It is equipped with crawler tracks available in multiple widths and has a wheelbase of 86 inches (218 cm). The tractor includes a standard cab with air-conditioning, wet disc brakes, and differential power steering. Hydraulics are variable-displacement load-sensing with a pressure of 2750 psi. The rear hitch is category III/II with draft control and a rear lift capacity of up to 15000 lbs (6804 kg) optionally. The PTO is independent with an electro-hydraulic wet disc clutch and operates at 1000 RPM at 1900 engine RPM. Electrical system is 12 volts with a negative ground and alternator charging.
