Chamberlain was established in Welshpool, Western Australia, within a former armament factory. In 1970, Deere & Company initiated the acquisition of Chamberlain, incorporating Deere engines in several models. The "Sedan 80" series, introduced in 1975, drew significant inspiration from John Deere, while the 90 series launched in 1985 featured a John Deere green color scheme, although they still bore the Chamberlain name. By 1986, Deere had halted tractor manufacturing at the Welshpool facility and shifted to importing tractors from its other factories to Australia.
