The Corbitt Company was founded by Richard Corbitt in 1913, following a history of manufacturing horse-drawn buggies and automobiles. The company achieved considerable success in producing trucks, many of which were supplied to the US Army. Around 1949, Corbitt expanded its offerings to include a line of farm tractors, with many units being exported to South America. Unfortunately, the company struggled after Mr. Corbitt retired in 1952 and ultimately went out of business shortly thereafter.
