Cub Cadet

The Cub Cadet brand originated from the garden tractor line of International Harvester, which was acquired by MTD in 1981. In 1993, the brand began importing Mitsubishi compact tractors into North America. In 2006, MTD partnered with Yanmar to market Yanmar compact tractors under the Cub Cadet Yanmar name. This partnership was revised in 2011, leading to Yanmar America taking full ownership of the tractors, and subsequently, the Cub Cadet name was no longer associated with compact tractors.
