Economy Country Squire

The Economy Country Squire is a garden tractor produced from 1951 to 1962 by Economy, a part of Engineering Products Company. Built in Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA, these tractors were direct mail-order from Muskego, Wisconsin. They share many features and serial number sequences with Economy tractors of the era. The tractor features two engine options: a 9HP Briggs & Stratton 376cc 1-cylinder gasoline engine and a 9.2HP Wisconsin 376cc 1-cylinder gasoline engine. It has a 3-speed shaft-driven gear transmission with mechanical dry disc clutch, two-wheel drive, and spur gear final drives. The tractor has a wheelbase of 55 inches, length of 79 inches, width of 42 inches, and height of 46 inches at the steering wheel. It uses 4.00x8 front tires and 8.00x16 rear tires. Attachments include 30" and 48" mid-mount mower decks and a front-mount blade. Electrical system is 12 volts with negative ground.
