General Ordnance produced the Denning-designed tractor under the National Tractor and GO brands. Based in Derby, Connecticut, General Ordnance was primarily a munitions manufacturer. In 1918, the company acquired Denning, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and initially marketed the tractors under the National Tractor name before transitioning to the General Ordnance branding. Production ceased in 1921, and the company filed for bankruptcy the following year in 1922.
