Jacobsen Chief-O-Matic 1000

The Jacobsen Chief-O-Matic 1000 is a garden tractor introduced in 1966 by Jacobsen, built in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. It features a 10 hp Kohler K241 390cc 1-cylinder air-cooled gasoline engine, a belt-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse speeds, and two-wheel drive with manual steering and mechanical band brakes. The tractor has an open operator station and a mid PTO with independent manual clutch. Dimensions include a 42 inch wheelbase, 61 inch length, and 33 inch width. Tires are lawn/turf type with front sizes 16x4.80-8 or 16x6.50-8 and rear sizes 22x6-12 or 22x8-12. Electrical system is 12 volts with negative ground. Attachments available include 36", 42", and 48" mid-mount mower decks, snowblowers, blades, and a front-end loader. The serial number plate is located on the left-front side of the tractor above the front axle.
