John Deere 140

The John Deere 140 is a garden tractor produced from 1968 to 1974 as part of the 100 Series. It was built in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA, and came in two main versions: the 140H1 and the 140H3. The H3 version featured three hydraulic valves for operating multiple attachments. The tractor was powered by either a 12HP or 14HP Kohler single-cylinder gasoline engine, with a hydrostatic transmission and two-wheel drive. It featured manual steering, various brake types over the years, and an open operator station. The 140 supported a range of attachments including mid-mount mower decks, snowblowers, blades, and front-end loaders, making it versatile for garden and lawn tasks.
