Komatsu

Established in 1917, Komatsu initially produced mining tools for its parent company until it became independent in 1921. In 1931, the company manufactured Japan's first crawler tractor. During the 1970s and early 1980s, Komatsu formed a joint venture with KIMCO to produce tractors for International Harvester. Today, Komatsu holds the position of the second-largest construction equipment manufacturer globally.
