Massey Ferguson produced a variety of industrial equipment from the 1950s through the 1990s. Initially, their industrial machinery consisted of farm tractors that were adapted for use in industrial and construction applications. The Work Bull series was derived from the first Massey Ferguson tractors. In 1957, the company acquired Davis Backhoe, and by 1966, MF Industrial was established as a separate division. In 1992, management bought MF Industrial, renaming it Fermac. The Massey name was eventually retired in 1997 when Fermac was acquired by Case.
