Massey-Harris Pacemaker

The Massey-Harris Pacemaker was produced from 1936 to 1939 as a standard-tread tractor built in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. It replaced the Wallis 12/20 in Massey's line and featured the Twin Power option which increased engine RPMs to provide additional horsepower for belt work. The Pacemaker was a wide front tractor, while the Challenger was the row-crop version. It was powered by a 4.1L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a liquid-cooled vertical I-head design. The tractor had a 4-speed gear transmission with mechanical dry disc clutch, two-wheel drive, and manual steering. It had an open operator station and was equipped with steel tires sized 28x5 front and 44x10 rear, with additional tire options. The tractor's belt pulley was 12 inches in diameter and 6.25 inches wide, running at 832 RPM. The Pacemaker was known for its claimed drawbar power of 16 hp and belt power of 27 hp, with tested values significantly higher.
