The McCormick brand in agricultural machinery traces its roots to Cyrus McCormick, who invented the first effective reaper in 1831. His company later became part of what is now known as International Harvester. In 1923, International Harvester rebranded their 10-20 and 15-30 tractors as McCormick-Deering. This name was utilized for standard (wide front) tractors for the following thirty years before being replaced by the International brand.
