MTD 995

The MTD 995 is a garden tractor produced from 1979 to 1993 as part of the 900 Series by MTD. It features a 16 hp Briggs & Stratton 655cc 2-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric starter and a 3-gallon fuel tank. The tractor uses an Eaton shaft-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse speeds in two ranges. It has two-wheel drive, manual steering, and an open operator station. The tractor includes an independent mid PTO with a manual clutch and an optional rear hitch. It weighs 1035 lbs and rides on 18x6.50 front and 27x9.50-15 rear lawn/turf tires.
