Rhino tractors were manufactured in China by Jinma and imported to the United States by Rhino International Inc., based in Woodland, Washington, starting in 1989. In 1995, the company was acquired by Alamo Group Inc. in San Antonio, Texas. However, in 1999, Alamo decided to discontinue the Rhino tractor line—distinct from its Rhino implement line—due to a considerable drop in sales. Subsequently, Farm Boys Tractors, located in Kingsport, Tennessee, acquired the rights to distribute parts from Alamo.
