In 1904, Herbert Saunderson constructed his first tractor in Bedford, England, following several years of experience at Massey-Harris in Canada. He created two-, three-, and four-wheel models and achieved significant success with the model G tractor, which became the best-selling tractor in Britain. However, Saunderson's sales diminished significantly, both domestically and internationally, with the introduction of the Fordson tractor. In 1924, Saunderson sold his company to Crossley Motors, which manufactured tractors under its own brand for a few years before ceasing production.
