The Steiger 1700 is a four-wheel drive (4WD) tractor produced by Steiger from 1963 to 1969 as part of the Barn Series. It was built in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, USA. The tractor is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V53N 5.2L 6-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine producing 195 hp (145.4 kW) at 2600 RPM. It features a Spicer 9-speed transmission with 9 forward and 2 reverse gears and a 330mm disc clutch. The tractor has planetary final drives, articulated power steering, drum brakes, and an open operator station with an optional cab.
