The Steyr 84 is a standard-tread farm tractor produced by Steyr from 1956 to 1963. It features a 1.3L 1-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine producing 17.8 hp (13.3 kW) gross power. The tractor has a 4-speed gear transmission with an additional 5-speed creeper, two-wheel drive, mechanical rear differential lock, manual steering, and mechanical drum brakes. It has an open operator station and a rear PTO operating at 540 RPM at 1500 engine RPM. Dimensions include a 65 inch (165 cm) wheelbase, 100.4 inch (255 cm) length, 63 inch (160 cm) width, and 59.8 inch (151 cm) height, weighing 2690 lbs (1220 kg). Front tires are 5.50-16 and rear tires are 8-28. Variants include standard, row-crop, high-speed, and narrow chassis versions. The Steyr 84 was succeeded by the Steyr 86 and preceded by the Steyr 80.
