Twin City was the brand of tractors manufactured by the Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company, which was established in 1902. Initially, the company focused on creating steel components for bridges and other constructions, before expanding into the production of stationary steam engines and exploring gasoline engine designs. MS&M experienced significant growth after securing contracts to produce Case and Bull tractors, alongside their own Twin City brand. In 1929, Minneapolis Steel merged with Moline Plow and Minneapolis Threshing Machine to create the Minneapolis-Moline Company. For many years following this merger, tractors under the Minneapolis-Moline name continued to feature the Twin City brand.
