Woods & Copeland

In Katy, Texas, engineer Jones Copeland collaborated with farmer Woods to create a robust tractor designed to navigate the challenging landscapes of rice farming. Their initial tractor proved successful, leading them to construct eight additional tractors before relocating their operations to Wharton, Texas. Their achievements caught the attention of the Rome Plow Company, which acquired Woods & Copeland in 1976 and shifted the manufacturing to Georgia.
