The Ariens S-12 is a garden tractor produced from 1973 to 1975. It features a 12 hp Kohler K301S 476cc 1-cylinder gasoline engine with air-cooled horizontal shaft design. The tractor uses a Vickers shaft-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse speeds. It has a two-wheel drive with manual steering and parking pawl brakes. The S-12 has a wheelbase of 48 inches, length of 74.25 inches, width of 43 inches, and height of 47.75 inches at the steering wheel, weighing 710 lbs. It includes optional rear sleeve hitch and an independent front PTO with electric clutch.
