The Belarus 5490 is a farm tractor produced by Belarus as part of the 5400 Series from an unknown start year until 2009. It features a Belarus D245.5 turbocharged 4-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine with 4.8 L displacement and direct injection fuel system. The tractor offers two transmission variants: a 14-speed partially synchronized and a 9-speed shuttle. It delivers a claimed PTO power of 93 hp (69.4 kW). The tractor is equipped with four-wheel drive, hydrostatic power steering, and a cab with heater and air-conditioning. Hydraulics use an open center system, and the rear hitch is category II with position and draft control. The rear PTO is independent with 540/1000 rpm options.
