Caterpillar R3

The Caterpillar R3 was an agricultural crawler tractor produced from 1934 to 1935. It was a special-order machine for the US Government, based on the Twenty-Eight model. Built in Peoria, Illinois, USA, only 60 units were made. It featured a Caterpillar 5.7L 4-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline engine, a 3-speed gear transmission with dry disc clutch, and delivered 34.44 hp at the drawbar and 41.99 hp at the belt. The tractor had a crawler drive and an open operator station.
