Caterpillar

Caterpillar is an international manufacturer of industrial equipment and was one of the first companies to produce tracked machinery. While Caterpillar tractors have been utilized in farming since their inception, the company's emphasis changed toward construction as rubber-tired tractors became prevalent in the agriculture sector. In 1987, Caterpillar made a comeback in the farming industry with its Challenger line of rubber-tracked crawlers, which was later sold to AGCO in 2002.
