Chamberlain was established in Welshpool, Western Australia, within a former armament factory. In 1970, Deere & Company started acquiring Chamberlain, incorporating Deere engines into certain models. The 1975 introduction of the "Sedan 80" series was significantly shaped by John Deere's influence, and the 1985 "90" series featured a John Deere green color scheme, though they still carried the Chamberlain name. By 1986, Deere halted tractor production at the Welshpool facility and shifted to importing tractors from its other factories for the Australian market.
