The David Brown 1690 is a utility tractor produced from 1980 to 1984. It is essentially the same model as the J.I. Case 1690, built in Meltham Mills, Huddersfield, England. It features a J.I. Case 5.4L 6-cylinder diesel engine, with a 12-speed synchromesh or partial power shift transmission. The tractor offers two- or four-wheel drive, power steering, hydraulic wet disc brakes, and a two-post ROPS with an optional cab. It has a PTO power of about 90 hp and a drawbar power of approximately 72.55 hp. The tractor supports a variety of attachments including the J.I. Case 66L front-end loader with multiple bucket width options. It was originally priced at $30,000 in 1983.
