Gravely 8160

The Gravely 8160 is a garden tractor introduced in 1978 as part of the 8000 Series. It features a 16 hp Briggs & Stratton 531cc 1-cylinder gasoline engine with electric start and a 5.3 gallon fuel tank. The tractor has an 8-speed shaft-driven gear transmission with 8 forward and 4 reverse speeds, and a mechanical clutch. It is a two-wheel drive with manual steering and mechanical band brakes, designed with an open operator station. The 8160 has a wheelbase of 48 inches, weighs 870 lbs, and rides on 16x7.50-8 front and 23x10.50-12 rear lawn/turf tires. Electrical system includes a 12-volt battery and a flywheel alternator charging system. The tractor also features a mid independent PTO. Variants include the 8160 with mechanical lift and the 8161 with hydraulic lift.
