The International Harvester 5488 is a row-crop tractor produced from 1981 to 1985 as part of the 50 Series. Built in Rock Island, Illinois, USA, a total of 3,951 units were made. It features a 7.6L 6-cylinder intercooled turbocharged diesel engine producing up to 187 hp tested at the PTO.
