John Deere 3130

The John Deere 3130 is a utility tractor produced from 1973 to 1979. It was built in Mannheim, Germany, and featured a redesign in 1975 with a more rounded front, hood, and decals. The 3130 was sold as the 2840 in the United States. It is powered by a 5.4L 6-cylinder diesel engine with options for a turbocharger. The tractor offers two transmission options: a 12-speed two-speed power shift and a 6-speed sliding gear. It has a PTO rated at 75.1 hp and features two- or four-wheel drive with planetary final drives and mechanical rear differential lock. The 3130 includes an open operator station with optional cab, wet disc brakes, and power steering. It supports a rear Type II hitch with position control and lower-link draft sensing, and a rear lift capacity of 7452 lbs.
