John Deere 4240S

The John Deere 4240S is a farm tractor produced from 1982 to 1986 as part of the 4040 Series. It features a 7.6L 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 132 hp (98.4 kW). The tractor offers two transmission options: a 16-speed Quad-Range with 16 forward and 6 reverse gears, and a 12-speed Synchro-Range with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears, both with hydraulic wet disc clutches.
