John Deere 850

The John Deere 850 is a compact utility tractor produced from 1978 to 1989. It is part of the 50 Compact Series and was built by Yanmar in Japan. The tractor features a Yanmar 1.3L 3-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine producing 25 hp gross. It has an 8-speed gear transmission and offers two- or four-wheel drive options. The 850 includes features such as manual or optional power steering, differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes, and a two-post ROPS. It has a fuel capacity of 8.5 gallons and a hydraulic system capacity of 4.75 gallons, increased to 5.25 gallons after 1984.
