John Deere Unstyled D

The John Deere Unstyled D is a standard-tread tractor produced from 1923 to 1953, known for having the longest production run of any John Deere model. It features a two-cylinder letter series engine with options of 7.6L or 8.2L displacement, liquid-cooled and all-fuel capable. The tractor was built in Waterloo, Iowa, USA, with a total production of 160,000 units. It originally came with a 2-speed unsynchronized gear transmission, later upgraded to a 3-speed in 1935. The D model offers a drawbar power of 15 hp claimed and 29.9 hp tested, and belt power of 27 hp claimed and 41.59 hp tested. It has a manual steering two-wheel drive configuration with an open operator station. The tractor's dimensions and tires varied over the years, with weight ranging from 4090 to 5880 pounds and multiple tire size options. The rear PTO was optional with a type 525.
