The Massey Ferguson 1200 is a four-wheel drive (4WD) tractor produced from 1972 to 1979 by Massey Ferguson in Manchester, England. It features a Perkins 5.8L 6-cylinder diesel engine delivering 105 hp (78.3 kW) with a PTO power of 91.2 hp (68.0 kW). The tractor offers 8-speed and 12-speed Multi-Power transmission options, hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic disc brakes, and a standard cab with optional heat and air-conditioning. It has a wheelbase of 100.8 inches (256 cm), weighs 11,370 lbs (5157 kg), and uses 16.9-34 tires front and rear. The hydraulic system has a capacity of 4.8 gallons (18.2 L) with a pressure of 2900 psi (200.0 bar) and total flow of 11.8 gpm (44.7 lpm). The rear hitch is type II with a lift capacity of 7,500 lbs (3402 kg), and the rear PTO is independent with a 1000 rpm type. The 1200 model was succeeded by the Massey Ferguson 1250 produced from 1979 to 1982.
