Massey Ferguson 1740E

The Massey Ferguson 1740E is a compact utility tractor introduced in 2020 as part of the 1700E Series. It features a Shibaura 1.5L 3-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 38.5 hp (28.7 kW) and offers two transmission options: an 8-speed mechanical shuttle and a hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse speeds. The tractor includes four-wheel drive, mechanical rear differential lock, power steering, wet disc brakes, and a two-post folding ROPS. Hydraulics are open center with a pump flow of 7.2 gpm (27.3 lpm) and total flow of 11.3 gpm (42.8 lpm). The rear hitch is category I with a lift capacity of 1598 lbs (724 kg) at 24 inches. The PTO is independent with a 540 rpm rear PTO shaft. Standard tires are 7-16 front and 11.2-24 rear, with industrial tire options available.
