The Massey Ferguson 98 is a standard-tread tractor built by Oliver from 1960 to 1962. It is essentially the same as an Oliver 990, differing only in hood and grill design. It features a Detroit Diesel 3.5L 3-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engine, a 6-speed gear transmission with 2 reverse gears, and delivers 61.1 hp drawbar and 84.1 hp PTO power. The tractor has an open operator station, two-wheel drive, and weighs 15,000 lbs (6804 kg). It uses 7.50-18 front tires and 15-34 rear tires. The hydraulics system is open center with one valve, and it has a live 540 RPM rear PTO.
