The McCormick-Deering WD-9 is a standard-tread farm tractor produced from 1940 to 1954 by McCormick-Deering, a part of International Harvester. It was manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Melrose Park, Illinois, USA. The WD-9 is powered by an International Harvester 5.5L 4-cylinder liquid-cooled vertical I-head diesel engine with a rated speed of 1500 RPM and a compression ratio of 15.7:1. It features a 5-speed gear transmission with mechanical dry disc clutch and two-wheel drive. The tractor has an open operator station with manual steering and differential mechanical contracting band brakes. It has a drawbar power of 33 hp claimed and tested drawbar power of 42.57 hp.
