The McCormick brand in agricultural equipment traces its origins to Cyrus McCormick, who invented the first effective reaper in 1831. McCormick's enterprise later contributed to the formation of International Harvester. In 1923, International Harvester rebranded their 10-20 and 15-30 tractors as McCormick-Deering. This name was utilized for standard (wide) front tractors for the following thirty years, until it was gradually replaced by the International brand.
