The Nichols-Shepard 20-42 is a standard-tread farm tractor produced from 1918 to 1925 by Nichols-Shepard in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA. Originally named the 18-36, it was renamed by 1919 to reflect its higher power level. It features a 16.5L 2-cylinder liquid-cooled kerosene engine, a 2-speed gear transmission with dry drum clutch, and two-wheel drive with bull gear final drives. The tractor has an open operator station and manual steering. It delivers 42 hp at the drawbar and 20 hp at the belt, capable of pulling 5 14-inch plows.
