SAME Panther

The SAME Panther is a row-crop tractor produced from 1973 to 1977 by SAME. It features a 4.5L 5-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine producing 83 hp (61.9 kW) with a 12-speed transmission offering 12 forward and 3 reverse gears. The tractor is available in two- or four-wheel drive configurations with power steering and a four-post ROPS for safety. It has a wheelbase of 98.8 inches (250 cm), length of 152 inches (386 cm), and height of 103.5 inches (262 cm). The weight ranges from 7938 lbs (3600 kg) for 2WD to 8820 lbs (4000 kg) for 4WD. Tire sizes include 7.50-18 or 12.4-24 (4WD) front and 16.9-34 rear. The rear lift capacity is 6306 lbs (2860 kg) and the rear PTO operates at 540/1000 rpm. The Panther was succeeded by the Panther 90 model produced from 1978 to 1980.
