Silver King

The Silver King tractor brand emerged when the manufacturer Fate-Root-Heath found itself in a dispute with Chrysler over the Plymouth name. Fate-Root-Heath ultimately won the contest, having produced Plymouth-brand vehicles long before Chrysler entered the scene, but opted to sell the name to the automaker. Inspired by the distinctive silver paint used on the tractors, the Silver King brand was established. These tractors were innovative for their time, functioning as utility and industrial machines, and gained popularity among factories. In 1954, Fate-Root-Heath sold the Silver King tractor line to Mountain State Fabricating as the parent company shifted its focus to the locomotive sector. However, Mountain State's production run was short-lived, leading to the discontinuation of the Silver King line.
