The Toro 550 is a lawn tractor produced from 1970 to 1973. It features a 5 hp gasoline engine available from Briggs & Stratton or Tecumseh, with electric start and a 0.5 gallon fuel tank. The tractor uses a Peerless 352 belt-driven transmission with 3 forward and 1 reverse gear, and an idler pulley clutch. It has two-wheel drive, manual steering, mechanical band brakes, and an open operator station. The mid PTO is independent with a manual clutch and pulley type.
