White GT-1620

The White GT-1620 is a garden tractor introduced in 1977 and built by MTD. It features a 16 hp Briggs & Stratton 531cc 1-cylinder air-cooled gasoline engine with electric start. The tractor has a 4-speed belt-driven gear transmission with four forward and one reverse gear, and a four-position variator. It has two-wheel drive, manual steering, disc brakes, and an open operator station. The tractor weighs 850 lbs (385 kg) with a wheelbase of 48 inches (121 cm) and height of 42 inches (106 cm). Tires are 16.00x6.50 front and 23.00x8.50 rear. Electrical system includes a 12-volt battery with 45 AH, negative ground, and a starter-generator charging system. Attachments include 42" and 50" mid-mount mower decks. The tractor hitch rear type is optional, and a front PTO is available as an option. Original price was $2,575 in 1980.
