Description:The power shift transmission uses a gear shift and range shift. The range shift lever selects one of two ranges. The tractor must be stopped, and the clutch used, to change the range. The gear shift selects one of six forward gears, and reverse. The gears can be shifted while the tractor is in motion, simply by moving the lever. The clutch is needed to switch from a forward gear to reverse.
