American Tractor Corporation (ATC) was established when the Rojtman family acquired a factory in Churubusco, Indiana, USA. After studying both US and German military tanks and crawlers, ATC commenced the production of crawler tractors under the TerraTrac brand. In late 1956, ATC merged with Case, becoming the foundation of Case's crawler and industrial division. By the late 1960s, Case relocated all production to Burlington, Iowa, and sold the Churubusco facility.
