Caterpillar DD9H

The Caterpillar DD9H was a bulldozer produced from 1974 to 1981. It consisted of two D9H tractors connected in tandem, controlled from the front tractor with pneumo-hydraulic controls. The front tractor included a 12 CFM compressor and two air supply tanks. It was powered by two Caterpillar D353 turbocharged 6-cylinder diesel engines with a combined net power of 820 hp (611.5 kW). The transmission was a 3-speed power shift. The tractor had crawler drive with planetary final drives and an optional cab with air-conditioning. It featured 24-inch tracks and weighed between 178,800 and 185,400 pounds. The main attachment was a 189-inch wide Caterpillar 9C front-mount hydraulic-lift blade.
